RigQuip Appoints New Engineering Manager

RigQuip recently welcomed Eric Wesselingh to the role of Engineering Manager. Based at our headquarters in Aberdeen, Eric will be responsible for all engineering and project management of major maintenance projects as well as supporting strategic direction of the business going forward.

Eric is a highly experienced manager with over 30 years’ experience in drilling sector operations and engineering.  Eric holds a BEng in Drilling and Production Technology from the Institute of Oil and Gas, in the Netherlands and a MEng in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, in Scotland.  Eric was previously Engineering manager at Safe Influx. Prior to that Eric spent 25 years with Rowan/Valaris, starting offshore as a Roustabout before progressing to senior managerial positions in operations, as General Manager North Sea, and in engineering, as Corporate Director of Engineering US, delivering large scale operations and projects in the USA, Norway, Denmark and the UK.

Eric remarked: “I’m thrilled to have joined RigQuip Drilling Services as Engineering Manager to further strengthen the team driving the engineering and project management facets of the business.
